Hey, I'm CY — based in Malaysia and living the dual life every passionate gamer knows well: software professional by day, competitive card game grinder by night. Gaming has been part of my life for over 30 years, but it's the world of trading card games that turned a hobby into a genuine competitive pursuit, a creative platform, and a way to give back to a community I care deeply about.

My primary competitive game is the Pokémon Trading Card Game, where I've competed across multiple seasons in the Asia Championship Series — Malaysia's most prestigious TCG circuit. Competitive Pokémon TCG demands far more than knowing the cards: it requires meticulous deck construction, meta-reading, resource management under pressure, and the ability to adapt mid-game against opponents who've prepared just as hard. Every season I build my lists from scratch, test relentlessly, and take each tournament result — win or loss — as a lesson that sharpens the next run.

Alongside Pokémon, I'm deeply invested in the Ultraman Card Game, one of Asia's fastest-growing TCGs. UCG combines a rich IP with genuinely strategic gameplay, and I've been involved from its early competitive days in Malaysia — playing in Galaxy Cup circuits, competing in Challenge Match events, and helping newer players understand the game's mechanics and competitive landscape. Being an active voice in the UCG community means more than just winning; it means building a space where the game can grow.

Beyond competing, I hold certified judge status for both Pokémon TCG and Ultraman Card Game — a combination that very few players in Malaysia can claim. Judging is a discipline in its own right: it demands deep rules knowledge, the ability to communicate rulings clearly under pressure, and the composure to keep events running fairly when disputes arise. I've officiated local and regional events, mentored newer judges entering the certification process, and contributed to building judging standards across the Malaysian competitive scene.

As a content creator, I document everything across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and my blog Super CY — deck profiles and card reveals, tournament reports and match recaps, judging explainers and rule clarifications, and the broader card game lifestyle that connects players across Malaysia and beyond.
